Buick has been awarded the 2018 JD Power Total Ownership Experience Award. This award is an all-new, prestigious annual honor given to the auto brand with the best total score out of five other JD Power studies: APEAL (Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout), Customer Service Index, Initial Quality Study, Sales Satisfaction Index, and Vehicle Dependability Study.
Each of these surveys focuses on a different area of strength. The APEAL study looks at the overall love and excitement owners feel for their vehicles, while the Customer Service Index focuses on how the manufacturer responds to customer concerns.
The IQS surveys drivers after they’ve owned their vehicle for several months to identify potential problems; the SSI measures experience with the sale of the vehicle, and the VDS measures overall dependability based on problems identified in the last year.
It isn’t easy to score high in these categories, let alone all five of them. But thanks to luxurious features, unmatched customer service and sales staff at all our dealerships across the country, and some of the most meticulous design in the auto industry, Buick had great scores in all five.
