Now that school is out and the kids are home, you are looking for some fun. You won’t have to go far to find it if you spend your summer in Wilmington. There are numerous festivals and events happening this year.
Holy Trinity Greek Festival.
Get your summer off on the right foot by starting with this annual summer tradition. This year’s festival will run from June 5th through the 9th from 11 am to 11 pm, regardless of the weather. Admission is free, which is an added bonus.
St. Anthony’s Italian Festival.
Just after you recover from the Greek festival, it is time for another one. The Italian Festival will be held June 10th through the 17th this year and includes food, festival rides, games, and so much more.
Dupont Clifford Brown Jazz Festival.
This is the largest free jazz festival on the east coast and brings together some of the most acclaimed jazz musicians and groups. The festival celebrates its 30th anniversary this year and will be held June 17th-24th.
If you love reggae and Bob Marley in particular, be sure to attend the 24th annual People’s Festival on July 28th at The Queen. This event celebrates Bob Marley’s connection to Wilmington.
