QuietTuning™ has been a part of Buick’s cabin construction and acoustics for some time now, but on the 2018 Buick Enclave, the technology has gotten an even better upgrade. The new QuietTuning™ technology on the Enclave uses innovations by both Bose and Panasonic to block and absorb noise, reducing sound from the wind, road, and powertrain for a more enjoyable driving experience.
The technology used for QuietTuning™ involves microphones that emit low-frequency noises that cancel out other sounds, eliminating things like body vibration caused by acceleration or traffic noises. The Buick Enclave also pairs QuietTuning™ active noise cancellation with more traditional advances in acoustics, such as laminated window glass and other sound-deadening materials, to provide a silent cabin that facilitates conversation and relaxation.
A stiffer, more rigid vehicle platform minimizes vibration during the drive. Acoustic treatments help block rear noise to enable more muted towing and hauling.
The new QuietTuning™ technology on the 2018 Buick Enclave enhances the experience of driving the reputable full-size crossover, which occupies the No. 4 spot in the segment. Not only that, but sales have gone up for the model year as well. The acoustic tech in the Buick Enclave is just one step further in providing Buick drivers with an upscale, worthwhile driving experience.
